What is LSTV?

Leeds Student Television is University society at the University of Leeds Students' Union.

Our members work together to produce television programmes for the students of the University of Leeds. These programmes are broadcast on screens around the Student Union and online.

Like any University society, any registered student is allowed to join us.

Who can watch our programmes?

  • Our programmes are broadcast daily on television screens around the students' union at the University of Leeds. Around 10,000 students see our programmes every week.
  • A selection of our content is shown on the BBC Big Screen in Millennium Square, Leeds.
  • Our content is also available worldwide through our website.

What do we broadcast?

Every week we produce around 2 hours of original content.

We've won awards for our breathtaking dramas, original music formats and unrivalled student news reportage.

All our programmes are permanently available to watch online.

We aim to keep our programmes tasteful, decent and honest. You won't find nudity, excessive swearing or offensive material in our programmes.

Can I sponsor an LSTV programme?

We welcome sponsorship, and work with the students' union to allow you to sponsor our programmes.

Sponsorship is a great way of getting your brand seen by an enormous student audience; 10,000 students see our programmes every week.

There are some regulations on who can sponsor us imposed by the students' union, so it's best to get in touch with us directly first.

Will you record my wedding / bahr mitzvah?

LSTV is not available for private events, however we can record certain events which have relevance to the student population. This may be, for example, a charity event, night club event or society party. If you're hosting an event you'd like us to cover, please get in touch.
